At Buffalo Creek at high tide this morning:
Eastern Curlew - 23
Greater Sand-Plover - 400 (may have been some Lesser Sand Plovers present amongst the Greaters but none seen despite searching for them)
Red-necked Stint - 50
Sanderling - 5
Ruddy Turnstone - 3
Red-capped Plover - 10
Great Knot - 15
Red Knot - 2 (one quite reddish)
Terek Sandpiper - 2
Common Sandpiper - 1
Masked Lapwing - 1
Little Egret - 3, including one of the nominate subspecies; this was clearly a different individual from the one seen regularly at the sewage works recently
Rainbow Pitta - 3; one seen; three separate birds heard calling at one time (probably though not definitely including the one seen). One bird called twice, the others only once each.
